If You See A Green Guy Wearing Sandals, Tell Him We Need To Talk

These are all of Meredith's shoes that currently fit.

Cute shoes right? So what's wrong with this picture?

Well when I say "all" I do mean ALL.

I have not been able to locate mates for these shoes for about three months. Those sandals have done her loads of good this summer haven't they?

How can these shoes go so completely missing? You read how small my house is. There just aren't that many places to get lost here. The only plausible explanation I can come up with is that either aliens have given up abducting humans and performing sexual experimentation on them and are now just really into shoes, or there is a crack in the space/time continuum located somewhere in between my kitchen and living room.

When my husband and I began living together in 1995, he would frequently lose ONE of his shoes. Since I'm positive I read a headline in the Weekly World News right around then that a woman in the Midwest gave birth to an alien infant, the aliens weren't collecting shoe samples yet. And we lived in an apartment so that shoots down the wrinkle in time theory.

I think I'll have to just accept that it's genetic.

LOL! What size does she wear? I have a pair of really cute pink slip ons that are too narrow for Melody, size 6. Let me know if you want them and I'll send them over...little Meridith cannot go barefoot forever. :-)

She is (I think) a size 4 or 4.5 right now. I wouldn't know exactly because the child hasn't worn shoes all summer. This is becoming a problem immediately becasue we are going to an amusement park tomorrow and I'm willing to bet Madame will not accept being relegated to the stroller and the Mei Tai all day!
Thank you for the offer of the shoes though!

are they all left foot shoes? that just adds to the mystery, lol

Nope. That one lonely white sandal all the way to the right is a righty.

I think that green guy is stopping by our house too! My daughter is missing shoes also! HA! I just saw you were in Pittsburgh! My bf is there. My hubby and I actually grew in Bedford Co, PA and moved to WV for jobs! We are HUGE Steeler fans!

Wow, Chuck has a big ole fit when a SOCK is missing, I can't imagine what he'd do if there were that many shoes missing!

I am sneakerless at the moment because Corki likes to chew on my stinky sneaks, and I was too big to be chasing her around the last couple months. Of course, now I have to go shop for sneaks, ugh! Don't think I can live in my turquoise slides for the next 3 months.

That's hilarious! You should offer the older two a dollar for each missing shoe they find, if nothing else it might keep them entertained for a bit :)
